Watch the nbc olympics and the U.S. team in all of its glory at the athens olympics
The nbc olympics and five cable siblings as well as NBC's high definition dish tv production will be offering 1,210 hours of coverage during the 17 days of the summer olympics. Put in perspective, NBC and company will offer more coverage at the nbc olympics than was offered from the last five summer games combined.
The planned broadcasts from the athens olympics almost triples the 440 hours that NBC beamed back from the Sydney summer games. The nbc olympics coverage has been expanded to add BRAVO, Telemundo and high definition broadcasts offered by local affiliates on secondary channels via satellite dish and digital cable.
For the first time, all 28 olympics sports will be broadcasted in more than just snippet form. About 300 hours will be live form the nbc olympics. That's about 25 percent of the total. NBC will televise the olympic games in prime time from 7 to 11 p.m.(CST) with an abbreviated replay available from 1 to 4 a.m. (CST). Early every day, the nbc olympics will be on from 12:30 to 4 p.m. (CST).
